judging by your last.fm......i think you'll really dig this band....and its just a little out of what appears to be your comfort zone.....check your pm and enjoy :)

I'm digging it for sure but I have to give it a proper listen before I review it. As far as it being out of my comfort zone, well, it isn't. I'm pretty sure the only music that's out of my comfort range is dance and country at this point.

@RVCA
I haven't listened to watershed yet, but that's only because I was too busy listening to the Alcest album you posted (which was fairly entertaining). Im gonna download the Opeth disk right now.

Oh, great. Don't feel obligated to post an analysis though, since I didn't really send it to you

What kind of music do you listen to primarily?

Classical, Jazz, Prog, World, Avant-Garde, Noise, and Metal are usually target genres. Usually things that mix few elements of each.

I am a huge fan of technically advanced music. Yet, prefer it in the abstract sense like Sleepytime Gorilla Museum to the structure, traditional, "clean" Dreamtheater sense. Albeit, am open to a lot. From Kate Bush to Negativland to Slayer to King Crimson.

alright Ska.....i was listening to this last night and thought it may fit your need for noise, avant, and maybe even metal (kind of)....if anything it is chock full of misanthropic weirdness.....and is one HELL of an album

To Raust:

Hope you enjoy. It has long tracks, and I'm 99% sure they're all live/one take but due to the sheer brilliance in the graduality of the transformations, makes it my favorite Haino work.

Send me something.

Predominantly interested in modal jazz, trip-hop, and minimalist drum n' bass lately.

sent :)

your request was perfect for a new obsession

this album incorporates, shoegaze, trip hop, and wonderful mesmerizing piano pieces...with haunting vocals.....and as a great bonus there is every once in a while jarring instrumental pieces

enjoy :)
