Rezz, this really is a fantastic thread idea. It's like you've encapsulated everything wonderful about MB in one place.

Bob sent me this:

I really liked this album a lot. It's very relaxing, jazzy Hip-Hop which is exactly what I wanted. I liked the beats, but wasn't a huge fan of the guy's voice, it was a little plain. Other than that it was perfect for the mood I was in and was pretty sweet overall. Favourite songs: Violent Evolution, Outlaw in Wonderland, Air Bone. Overall rating: 7/10

Thanks!

Bob sent me this:

Whilst knowing quite a lot of Thrash bands, one scene I never really explored was the Japanese scene so that in itself was exciting and damn I did really enjoy this. However Bob did comment on the punk element and I have to say that 90% of this album does sound like a Hardcore punk album. Luckily I do like me some Hardcore Punk especially the early sounds and this worked perfectly and I will be digging around to see if I can find some more stuff by these guys.

misleading title TBH but decent album and a keeper.

Glad you enjoyed Matt Eliott

RezZ sent me this:

For me this one was a grower, but as of now I've listened to it about three times and everytime I like it more and more. I do have a thing for quirky voices, and this definitely fits the bill on that, so that was a plus. The standout track here was "King of Spain". OMG...love, love, love that song. It has so much going for it: an almost bluegrass/country feel, fab lyrics and interesting vocals. It's a song I picture Savannah liking actually (you should send her the album!). Anyway absolute favorite on the album. I also loved "You're Going Back", which owes more to his vocals than anything else.

Overall, I definitely see this one getting multiple plays from me. Perfect recommendation RezZ. Thanks!

seriously i have not listened to that album in going on ten years....and obviously listened to it right before i sent...ten years ago i would have saifd that this is what thrash is all about....but a little knowledge and an understanding of the concept of "crossover" and yeah it's more of a hardcore punk record....either way i'm glad you like it

out of the four bands who tickled your fancy most?
