3 piece post-hardcore/math rock/experimental/noise type outfit from the beautiful pacific northwest....this was their final album released in 2001....and i think by many is considered an essential classic....i would agree

enjoy
Awesome, thanks. I don't have any math rock, but various tidbits I've heard have always been pretty interesting. Looking forward to.

Well this was also ****ing wonderful. Seemed like a more depressing rendition of mainly DSOTM tracks but still in a pretty cool way. My favorite was probably the cover of money, different than any other version I have ever heard, and by now Iv heard a good few. Thanks Jackhammer, you probably dont remember but a long time ago you sent me Dub Side of the Moon and I still listen to that a lot, this I think it perhaps a notch below that (as I love the upbeat reggae remakes) but still a really cool take on some classic stuff.

Now if you happen to read this by any chance I could stumble on anything else the Easy A All Stars have done?
They have recently released Dubber Side Of The Moon which is even better than Dub Side Of The Moon IMO.

PM on the way.

For Dayvan Cowboy:

It's nicely schizophrenic that you enjoy but with a Ska slant. I will be intrigued what you think of this.

Dayvan sent me this:

Eh, I wasn't that big on this album. Most of it bored me to tears, to be honest. I did kind of like some of the songs in the second half of the album, but the first 10 literally did nothing for me. I'll give it a nother listen or two before I completely write it off, but I can't see this being something I'll really get into. 3/10

Think the intensity of Big Black, but with a sound that really bass heavy (when they started out, they had two bass and no guitars), a singer whose voice sounds like Leonard Cohen's after an all night fight in a sandpaper factory, and some of the best lyrics ever.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Thanks.

this is i think a great introduction to the bulk of industrial music....not slow and creepy like the first wave and not riddled with guitars like the third wave....this is just right
This is probably my first proper industrial album, and it wasn't too far from what I expected of the genre, but wasn't as heavy as I'd been lead to believe. Headhunter is a great track, as is Work (particularly liked the telephone there) and I did enjoy this album, although the textures didn't vary as much from song to song as I'd like. Good recommendation, thank you.

If you have any interest in delving more into industrial music it should be mentioned that Front 242 aren't proper industrial, they're EBM. If you want to check out true, straight up industrial give a listen to someone like Einstürzende Neubauten or Throbbing Gristle.

I've listened to it once so far but wanted to give it a solid second listen before commenting. I will post about it in the next few days, I promise.
