Oh, I generally do get free music. It's just that when I get an iTunes card, I like to support an artist or two. This time, it was Bess Rogers.

Oh, and as far as media players go - Foobar.

I wonder if the people who created Foobar know what FUBAR is short for? It just doesn't seem like the best choice of name for a piece of software. Reminds me of a business I used to live near, "Oops Hair Salon".

I use WMP9. It suits my needs, granted it isn't the smallest player around but still. It has all I need, it updates itself when I add new music, you can create playlists, rip from CD, burn to CD and otherwise I like the layout.
Probably not the best one out there but one that I feel comfortable using

Really? Have you given Winamp, MediaMonkey and Foobar a try?

Oh, yeah! Definitely VLC. I use it for a lot of FLAC files, and videos that are encoded in weird formats.

I install VLC on every PC. I just use winamp for the playlist and because it converts everything it plays to wav, but as a basic player, VLC is awesome.

I don't dislike iTunes, it's just so slow and buggy.
I Hate WMPlayer most of all. Not half as much as I hate Internet Exporer.

Oh wait, I forgot. There's nothing more awful than quicktime... At least that's what I think.
