Neil Peart is always over rated on these lists because he sits behind an over-sized drum kit.

Drummers that Neil Peart should never be rated higher than in any way shape or form:

Charlie Watts
Ringo Starr
Ginger Baker
Keith Moon
Jim Keltner
John Bonham
Jim Gordon
Levon Helm
Mitch Mitchell
Al Jackson
Kenny Jones
Russ Kunkel
Carmine Appice

There's probably a lot more but that's just off the top of my head.

I don't see the relevance of bringing the number of pieces in a drumkit into it, but I can understand your opinion on Peart being overrated.

That being said, he's on my top ten list.

This is tough, but I want some Mitch Mitchell for sure.

I think Brandon Saller should get an honorable mention. Singing and playing drums at the same time can't be easy.

Also Don Henley for the same reason.

Jazz pretty much owns the list:

Albeit, very special mentions to Tatsuya Yoshida, Christian Vander, Brian Chippendale, and Dave Lombardo who are all personal favorites of mine in (somewhat) more rock settings.
