'Today's Modern Country' - the stuff where they take an old hackneyed phrase like 'It's 5 'Clock Somewhere' and turn it into a hackneyed, cookie cutter song. They churn this stuff out at an alarming rate and it's dreadfully popular, but that doesn't make it any less soul scouring to my ears. Country music has a rich tradition and has always had a pop side, but what they're doing now is just aural insecticide...

Rush is the only prog band I like besides YES. Also Limelight is a great song on a great record.

Some of these are true ****e but I prefer them all to Rush, and I admit having to stretch a bit at the end to recall bands that I've heard one or two songs from that I preferred to my stay with Rush's discography a few years back. Also, definitely to be taken with a grain of salt.

I always considered Pink Floyd a rock act. I enjoy Mars Volta and Genesis also if they are considered prog.
