Do You Like or Dislike Women in Bands/as Singers

I'm gonna fess up; I have a thing for female rock bands. Not to say I'll listen to just anything because women are involved, but if the band is all female and I like their music, it's a huge plus to the deal. Especially "riot grrl" (I hate that term but) bands, or any punk female bands.

If they're just there to 'sexy up' the song, like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Snoop Dogg do a lot, then I hate them. Other than that, I will not automatically dislike a female musician because she's female. I judge by talent.

I'm more partial to women in music who aren't in your face about being a woman. I'm not really digging musicians like beth ditto who come across as obnoxious and pretentious with their views. I just like things to sound good, that's all.

It's really the same as with any male singers, but one factor is being able to sing along with the singer of the band, and with some bands like Jefferson Airplane I can sing along with the women but with other bands I can't do so well. I tend to listen to music with more male singers, most of the women singers I enjoy make psychadelic music.

I guess my point would be with these two videos, it doesn't matter to me. If their voice works in some way with the music I think gender is trivial.

I don't judge women on sex. I judge them based on talent. I am someone who loves female voice. The only person I hate and want to dissappear is Lady Gaga who has no talent. Now people want to copy this fool. Lady Gaga acts very bitchy often and has no real talent.
