In the whole commercial R&B spectrum of things from the 90's til now, the only guy even remotely comparable to Marvin, Al Green, etc. would be be Maxwell. And...maybe D'Angelo.

Who the frig is Usher? Seriously. I have heard the name but that's the fella at a wedding who is not quite good enough to be a best man so he gets all the crap jobs instead isn't he?

Maybe they are both not the best at what they think they can do?

Why in the Hell does each generation have a 'so and so'? I've always been bothered by this. There are influences, and knockoffs yet not some sort of magic system of reincarnation where somehow figures now embody figures of the past.

I can't make a comment cause I've never been that big of a modern R&B fan but still...
