A. The Rough Guide to Reggae. Lots of obscure releases to check out. Haven't actually finished it, it's arranged chronologically and I don't really like ragga/dancehall onwards.

Q. Is punk mostly attitude or style? or both?

s_k 05-25-2011 11:47 AM

A: I consider punk to be music, but I know what you mean and I'd say attitude, but it's nice to show what kind of person you 'are' by agreeing to a certain style.

Q: Have you ever destroyed an instrument? :D

DoctorSoft 05-25-2011 07:34 PM

A: I destroyed a really ****ty old amp my friend had one time, if that counts.

Q: What is your least favorite musical genre? Or at least the one that you are having/had the most difficulty getting into.

Insane Guest 05-25-2011 08:07 PM

Q: This is a very cliche answer, but country. In all the genres (that I have found), I usually find something, even the smallest thing which could mean one song, that appeals to me, but I just don't find anything appealing about country.
Bluegrass isn't country, which I do kind of like.

A: Is there someone in your life who you would to punch repeatedly in the face?

Scarlett O'Hara 05-25-2011 08:14 PM

Pete Wentz.

What is your favourite soundtrack?

A: Judgment Night or Empire Records for song collections.
The Untouchables or The Empire Strikes Back for ochestral music.

Q> Do people still listen to Styx or REO Speedwagon these days?

DoctorSoft 05-25-2011 08:47 PM

^^ KIDS soundtrack, no contest
EDIT: I don't speak for everyone but I've never listened to them and don't know anyone who does.

Q: Weirdest place you've ever heard a song?

Insane Guest 05-25-2011 08:51 PM

A: My Vice Principal gave me a ride to Saturday school, the weird part was that he was listening to Sublime.

Q: Have you ever stolen music the old school way, as in going to the record store and stealing the physical album?

Howard the Duck 05-25-2011 08:54 PM

A: Yeah I have. I stole a cassette in a Cardiff thrift shop when the cashier went in to get change.

Q: what's worse? AOR or MOR?

Redfe 05-26-2011 07:43 AM

I feel lame because I actually had to look that up. I guess AOR then.

Q: What's one band that stands out among your collection? For example, you like Symphonic Metal and yet you have Blink 182 on your iTunes library...

Blarobbarg 05-26-2011 09:14 AM

A: Go Home Productions. It's a guy that cuts up songs and puts them together with other songs. He also makes his own original stuff, all of which is odd. He also has an EP of dub remixes of his own songs. It is completely different than pretty much anything else I own.

Q: I'm drinking coffee right now, while listening to The Beatles. What are you listening to while drinking what?

Redfe 05-26-2011 09:48 AM

My hot chocolate's in the microwave because concentration, and listening to Jaïa.

Q: Do you know where to buy a manson MB-1 at the U.S.?

Insane Guest 05-26-2011 09:41 PM

A: No, but Google might.

Q: Do you dance or sing in the shower? What's your favorite dance or song (to do in shower)?

Howard the Duck 05-26-2011 09:43 PM

A: I don't. If I did (once in a long while), it'd be some Hokkien/Ming Nan (Chinese dialect) song which I have converted the lyrics into mostly swearing and obscenities.

Q.: Are Duran Duran still relevant?

Redfe 05-26-2011 09:45 PM

Nope. I either take a 1-second shower and get out or stay in there taking in the warmth.
EDIT @Il Duce: Well, my parents play them often so.....no, I guess.

Q: What's your favorite video game song or soundtrack?

Howard the Duck 05-26-2011 09:46 PM

A. Either Sanxion loader theme or Parallax loader theme on the Commodore 64.

Q. Did grunge really eradicate hair metal or hair metal died on its own?

Redfe 05-26-2011 09:48 PM

Who knows. Maybe they just got tired of gelling their hair so much.

Howard the Duck 05-26-2011 09:54 PM

A. I like quite a lot, actually, But my favourite is Mars from Holst's Planets suite.

Q. Are all classical fans elitist snobs?

SGR 05-27-2011 04:20 AM

Bloozcrooz 05-27-2011 05:26 AM

Howard the Duck 05-28-2011 01:37 AM

Q: Who's the greatest American band?

Howard the Duck 05-28-2011 03:14 AM

A. The Replacements.

Q. Greatest British band?

dbpq90 05-28-2011 03:21 AM

A: Trick question, the answer is all of the above.

Q: Tom gives Joe $200 to pay for the electric bill. The electric bill was $106. Joe uses $80 from the original $200 dollars to create a low-budget production of "All My Circuits". He made $26 from the production, and paid the electric bill from his own bank account which had a balance of $344 including his production's earnings, but prior to paying the bill. How much money does Joe need to return to Tom??
