Personally, I would think it would exclude all vocals of any kind, and would not exclude classical or jazz. Just because a genre is usually instrumental shouldn't exclude it.

Well, it was my theme, so I'm going to say that we're being strict about the vocals. Nothing discernible, can't be present on majority of tracks. Duce, all your genres are valid!

On second thought, I'm not going to fault anybody who submits an album with a little bit of vocals accidentally. My own submission I've only heard once, but I believe it's fully instrumental.

I think I'll keep my suggestion then. I'm 90% sure its vocal free or random words buried in the mix.

Hmmm, I know it's difficult to draw the line between what is an instrumental album and what isn't, but The Soft Moon's s/t does contain plenty of vocals on most songs, although not exactly very audible. I don't mean to be nit-picky but I'm not sure if it really qualifies as an instrumental album. Please don't kill me.

I'm happy to drop it from the list then, as it was my nomination, and I might not have paid the closest attention when I listened to it the first time.

Ha! Yeah the vocals are kind of inaudible in a shoegazey way but they're definitely there. You could just add something else to the list instead of it.

Go jazz! Either album, I don't care... I may grab both anyway, no matter what wins. Love both of the artists, have neither album.

...and I just realized that that was very nonsensical. Ah well. Go jazz!
