Keyboard is the general term for everything from pianos to organs to synthesizers.

I wasn't aware this thread was limited to people who play the keytar.

Well you've been marching a parade of hip piano players.

I'll give you that stevie played the Moog. But do people really think of those guys when you talk keyboards. Whenever I hear keyboards I think metal bands, liquid tension experiement, and Edgar Winter.

I don't know what to tell you man, they're keyboard players. Tom Waits and Nick Cave both regularly play organ so I guess I don't really see how they'd be "hip piano players".

When you think of keyboards you think of metal bands? That's weird.

I was referring specifically to the keyboard (synthesizer, if they're technically synonyms). And guys only. I think women of all types play the keys.

I looked at the list before I asked the question. That most of them are not "cool" is beyond debate.
GREAT KEYBOARD PLAYERS
Heh, it doesn't even include such geeks as Hawkes, Gary Numan, and Howard Jones.

Guys only? Why? And, no, not all keyboards are synthesizers. Duh.
Your serious question makes little sense to me but I'll still answer:

Bryant Clifford Meyer.
He plays synth for ISIS and I guarantee that everybody reading this is a bigger nerd than he.
