Default is there a website

that list a band's entire album catalog (including singles, ep's, compilations ..etc)? I am curious, I have been to sites like Wikipedia, and AllMusic and CD Universe ..but they don't list "everything" , you have to go all over the web to find pieces here and there....so IS THERE a website that list the entire catalog? Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated

thank you

Welcome to Rate Your Music

Welcome! - Rate Your Music

They list everything including singles, EPs, live albums, songs that appeared on compilations and some bootlegs.

it is comprehensive. i may be wrong, it's user generated. if the one submitting is the band itself or someone representing them, that's good. it could be accurate.

but the assumption is that the artists themselves should be able to have a complete list of all their works. their default is to go to their site for anything and everything new.

that's just the assumption though and based on experience. never really made an effort to study it.

The works listed on artists' profiles on Last.fm are added by the record labels. However this doesn't quite work as some albums are missing from artists' profiles because updating the pages isn't in the label's priorities.

The artist's website could also be a good source but you also have bands that have basically disowned albums and virtually written them out of their history, such as The Felice Brothers and their debut album Iantown. They also don't list bootlegs or unofficial releases.

Really I think Rate Your Music is as accurate as you can get.
