Yeah your right, that songs just always stuck out to me as a particularly bad song by a great band. Also, I figured that by now all Doors songs have reached enough widespread recognition so as this song would still be relevantly viewed within this thread.

To give another example of a poor hit song by a good band that better fits the desired requirements...


I never thought this song was ever that good. And to make it worse this is one of there more recognized songs. To me (though it is a satire) it seems to cash in on people's desire to hear the name's of drugs in a rock song. The whole thing is a bit lazy.

I think Rod Stewart regularly churned out good-sounding hits from about 1979 to 1991. However, "Love Touch" is not good, but rather repetitive and cheesy. Probably many people would agree with that.

rod stewart's early stuff was great but do ya think i'm sexy is awful
