Another one - "Modern Woman," by Billy Joel. "Though the song was quite successful, Joel has since said in interviews he does not care for it." Amen. I've never heard it on the air, either. I dislike most of the hits from An Innocent Man, but they have decent lyrics, whereas "Modern Woman" just stinks.

Also; Elvis Costello - She (boooooorrrrrring) David Bowie - Space Oddity (sounds so much better in its stripped-down, acoustic form) |
The Cure Friday I'm in love. It's **** so is that opening song in the Wish album Open. It's about being drunk at a party or s/t. FFS like we wanna know that Robert! Just go and write another Sinking or Just like heaven.

'Friday I'm In Love' is certainly far from being one of their best songs but I certainly don't hate it either. It sounds great when I'm really in the mood for it and sometimes makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. But still it sounds inferior to their other hit singles such as 'Just Like Heaven' and 'Inbetween Days'.

I actually like 'Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others'. It's certainly not the best song on The Queen Is Dead but it has some very witty lyrics.
"From the ice-age to the dole-age There is but one concern I have just discovered Some girls are bigger than others" It's kind of a fun song. |

Enjoy the silence by Depeche Mode. That song seemed to regain them popularity at a point when it was waining a bit. I never liked it. I think Black Celebration was their best by far. But not tonight, somebody and and sometimes I can really appreciate from them.

Straight To Hell is my favourite Clash Track by far. |

The Wish album is a steaming turd of a record anyway. All they're doing is stating their intent on the first song to save you from wasting around 40/45 minutes of your life having to listen to the rest of the album. |

I think "Friday" was placed somewhere in the middle of the album and there were some better ones on there somewhere. Goddamn, it's weird that The Cure lost it almost 20 years ago. |
Kings Of Leon's - Use Somebody.
Love tha band, but this song jsut gets under my skin so bad. And its so overated, Sex on fire is overated.. but i actually like that song!! haa |
You Never Give Me Your Money- The Beatles. I don't know why, I just can't stand that song. Eck.
Oh wait. Was that song even a hit? Probably not.. |

Still going? I thought the thread idea was good :)
I have another one - Starship, "Tomorrow Doesn't Matter Tonight." So dated but not nearly as catchy as "We Built This City." Although there's a pretty brunette in the video and also, as I read a claim tonight, Chynna Phillips. |
Time of Your Life by Green Day is pretty bad
and i mildly like them |

I don't care if I never hear "Pretty Woman" by Van Halen again. Its an awful song in the first place, let alone being over-played as well.
|
The entire American Idiot album by Green Day,
|
Atlas by Battles. The vocal effect annoys me.
|
I wanna hear some ambience of birds chirping in the background accompanied by a waterfall followed by a 17 minute prog epic. Not a song with 4 chords with a 30 second guitar solo. I really liked Genesis' older stuff and in my humble opinion phil should've stayed behind the drum kit. His music just doesn't do it for me. Probably one of my least favorite Genesis tracks. |
Now that you comment Phil Writer, he was questionable to be on my table for "I Cannot Conceive It's Sincere." Horn-based with repetitive, silly lyrics. It charted okay, but rightfully has been forgotten. Also, Van Halen's "Hot for Educator," because it has silent lyrics and I don't suchlike the important riff and stop-and-go pacing. Symmetrical the guitar solo doesn't run me for many ground.

I could have done the whole American Psycho shtick, but I opted not to. I mean, Invisible Touch had both Land Of Confusion and In Too Deep, and they're in my opinion two of the finest Genesis songs of all time. |
Yellow Submarine By The Beatles.
Everytime I hear that song I cringe. Screw You Ringo Starr. |
^^huh? Yellow Submarine is a Lennon-McCartney song, Ringo only sang it
All Together Now is much worse, at any rate, if you're talking Beatles' children's songs |
