Shoot from the back,
take good aim,
Make sure I'm dead
Bang Bang

'Cause I'm a rat
there's no mistake
Under the bed
where you sleep

Crush the skull
make me tame
Sweep it up
Hide it away

No morals shown
in no way explained
Stupid human
sh*t for brains

And draw tiny pictures
'round all the days
Bag and burn
Bang Bang

Throw your judgments
across the breeze
Bag and burn
Bang Bang

You live inside
your Jesus dream
Bag and burn
Bang Bang

Get some sleep
or lie in wait
Until the day
I run away

Forget the corpse
present the case
to bring me down
and lose your words

I'll follow you
into the grave
and at the gates
I see the passing say,

"The judge be judged,
and all the rich be saved."
I throw my curse
all across your days

And draw tiny pictures
'round all the days
Bag and burn
Bang Bang

Throw your judgments
across the breeze
Bag and burn
Bang Bang

You live inside
your Jesus dream
Bag and burn
Bang Bang

And draw tiny pictures
'round all the days

Throw your judgments
across the breeze

Watch them float off
to never be saved

You live inside
your Jesus dream

I am going to have to go with a local band that broke up a long time ago when I practically was a kid. Might not be everyone's genre or cup of tea, but they had a hell of a lot of potential.

The Thrill Collective - "Ink"

I heard this song for the first time today and enjoy its fast-paced energy, glittery guitar solos, competent playing, and the lead vocalist's strong, clear singing voice. The tune is catchy and has stuck in my mind, making it my favorite of their songs.

I'm impressed with the band members' skill level, especially considering their youth. As they mature, I suspect their songs will include more unique elements so that they further develop their own sound. They have a good, solid beginning and the knowledge base to do whatever they want with their music, and so I'm curious to see where their creativity leads them. Currently, their music and especially the lead singer's voice remind me somewhat of music by The Outfield, a band I like very much.

Listening to this song made me happy, not only because of its upbeat sound, but also because I like to see young musicians who are inspired to make music together. Creating music with others is a wonderful endeavor, and I'm glad they are having that experience.

Now this is certainly a good topic. Non-famous bands? Seems every artiste I listen to (okay not all, but a pretty hefty percentage) rank as unknown to most people, and yet, yes, there can be some absolutely amazing songs in there, music that in all likelihood so many will never hear.

I could list hundreds, but the likes of Shadow Gallery have some totally stunning songs, like this one from their "Room V" album (sorry, Vengangelica, you probably won't like it as it's quite long, but I'd urge you to give it a chance)

Then there's the Adventures, track from their "Trading secrets with the moon" album, this is called "Bright new morning"

and just one more: this is a band called Silent Edge, who have to date sadly only had the one album, "The eyes of the shadow". This is a slower track from it, called "The curse I hold".

It is indeed frustrating that songs of this calibre are going unnoticed, but then I suppose if the bands got famous and everyone was into them we'd feel slightly less, I don't know, important? It's sort of like they're our bands, our secret? Though I'm sure they'd rather have the fame (and the money)...

I did listen to all three songs with the final one, "The Curse I Hold Within," being my favorite because I like the acoustic guitar very much.

I really don't listen to enough music to discover many songs by non-famous bands, Trollheart...but when I do happen to hear little-known songs I enjoy, then I like to honor them here in the thread. I hope that the musicians' pleasure in making music has been its own reward, but yes, I imagine they'd also like to get Fame and Fortune. Maybe now that you've posted about them, they will.

Luckily, because I left the definition of "non-famous" up to individual posters, there is no failure in this thread:

Curious whether you were correct or not when you said that almost all the vids have way more than 100 views, I checked the current number of views for the videos posted. I found that quite a few have around 1,000 views, which is close to meeting *my* definition of "non-famous." Mind you, some of these videos were posted in this thread almost a year ago, so they probably have accumulated views since that time.

Here are the current number of views for the following lesser-known songs that have been posted:

A Brokeheart Pro - "Bleed On" (269 views)
Clara Klein (MySpace) - (1,139 plays)
Arrah and The Ferns - "Tokyo" (2,146 views)
Luka Bloom - "Ciara" (1,694 views)
Los Iberos - "Summertime Girl" (1,995 views)
Sexy Sadie - Crawling Man (2,961 views)
Matt Stevens - "Ghost" (1,775 views)
The Hours - "Kidkanevil" (341 views)
Caves - "200 Miles" (1,058 views)
Becky Daly - "Falling" (186 views)
Whores - "Straight Down" (1,669 views)
Zeta Park - "Lady Capuccino" (183 views)
The Thrill Collective - "Ink" (57 views)
Silent Edge - "The Curse I Hold Within" (42 views)
