I think he means he has listened to it three times since receiving it.

Oh thank christ.

I think it was Tom Clancy who sent me Little Dragon's self-titled album. I've been interested in their work since hearing them guest on Plastic Beach (an album I didn't care for, but I did love Yukimi Nagano's vocal contribution). Listening to this, I can see where the suggestion was drawn from my library; I was reminded of Roisin Murphy, Goldfrapp, and especially Morcheeba. This album was a bit uneventful for me, focusing on vocals above all else, but I'm definitely interested in the remaining two albums in this band's discography.

I checked your last.fm and saw that you had not listened to them before (or more than about 5/6 songs) so I thought it made sense to send you their first album. I think their latest two records incorporate a lot more electronic music, which may or may not interest you. Worth a listen anyway.

Thanks to whoever had me. I've heard The Strokes before, but not this album (yeah, I'd only heard about 2 songs before, and meant to eventually listen to more, so you really helped me out!) I'm enjoying it so far. {:

I was sent 'Two Dancers' by Wild Beasts. I had listened to this album once before but I got distracted by something else and it just became background music, so thank you for making me actually sit down and listen. I was only familiar with second and third singles released, "All the King's Men" and "We Still Got the Taste Dancing on Our Tongues", respectively. I had seen them performed on Later... with Jools Holland, which may I say, MUST be released on DVD or something. They only show the same handful of episodes here in the states. But here are the two performances, starting with "All the King's Men", or as my friends called it, The Lumberjack Song.

Next, "We Still Got the Taste Dancing on Our Tongues".

These two performances are some of my favorites from Later..

As for the album itself, it was definitely a solid choice for me! I do love my "indie" rock and this is a perfect example of "indie" rock done right. Every track on here is super catchy. Those hooks plus the well-thought rhythmic section, dreamy guitars, and superb vocals...the end result is a fantastic album.

I'm going to guess it was Zer0 who sent it.

Somebody sent me Cornershop's When I Was Born For the 7th Time. I can't actually tell you who, because while it's not a mystery, I received many albums and I've forgotten which ones came from whom. I feel like this may have come from Bob. Whoever it came from, it was a smart pick. This is my first introduction to raga rock, cleverly dressed in indie rock, which makes it a smooth transition from my regular patterns. Something old, something new. It contained many elements I've never really heard in my music before, and I appreciate the exposure. I don't think this would fit into my regular rotation, being a bit scattered and lengthy, but it's brought a genre to my attention that I'd never paid much thought to, so for that, it's worthwhile.
