Odd to see Stones, Hendrix and Cream/Clapton missing. What about Van Halen? No one may like the flamboyant sunset striprock that ensued ... But they certainly popped it open.

As for Metallica, I might be biased, but I'm not sure they should be so low.

Muse? Easily the best band ever to come out of Teignmouth, and better than any from nearby Exeter, so they can certainly be granted the status of "Devon Echelons", but earth? I think that's a bit like saying Hamilton Academical are one of the world's best football clubs. They bash up in Glasgow, but won't really be in the same sort of league as Barcelona.
