Saturday: Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" (1983)

This might be the most pop oriented pick yet, but I really like Annie Lennox. After re-watching the video for the first time in years, I didn't remember all the horses and cows, which seems odd, especially when the horse is chewing right by David Stewart's face.

So, here's my sixth pick. Tomorrow's the last one:

Sunday: The Human League "Don't You Want Me" (1981)

My 7th and final pick of my synth-pop/ new-wave week (these weren't in any kind of countdown order).

This one is very synth-pop, but I've always liked the song and held it as a guilty pleasure. It's one of those that brings back memories of the early days of MTV and that era of music.

Thanks, it was fun to put together. I didn't want to do just another top picks list-- like my favorite prog songs or something else that we see here everyday.

The songs on my list this week are certainly not my favorite genre or my area of expertise, but it was fun to kind of get out my musical comfort zone and reminisce a little bit, and I really do enjoy all those songs. I do have a few other ideas for week lists... so I might throw out another one at some point.
