Sorry Mr. Rubato. Didn't see this.

We do know everything to begin with. All the knowledge of the universe tucked away in our little biological computer hard drive somewhere in this carcass:)

I'm not the first to say that. I downloaded it:)

I'm not so sure, if we already knew everything shouldn't the human race be flawless? or do we just not have enough RAM?

Poor Pedestrian.

Not actually Mr. Rubato. We're infected with so many virus', there is no antivirus program available to clean up this mess.

And, everyone seems to have their own unique OS, so we can't communicate very well.

"marvel not that I said ye must be born anew' - the Nazarene

"if you want to swim on the bosom of the ocean of Truth you must reduce yourself to a zero" - Gandhi

In computer lingo, it is time to crash the sucker, and reprogram.

The authority of Truth is the very Spirit that indwells. The revelations of divine Truth are not sealed except by human ignorance, bigotry, and narrow minded intolerance. -

That's called 'hidden manna'. Someone hid it, but, I found it, and a whole lot more. I have spent many years seeking Truth as it applies to the human experience and purpose.

I did not focus on accumulating knowledge, but, rather understanding the knowledge I accumulated.

You are no different. When you read or think something, and that light bulb goes off in your brain, saying, "I know this is True". Store it. It was already in your system. Your RAM just pulled it up.

Off-topic again. And, I don't want to offend anyone, or, be accused of any sort of nonsensical rambling.

Our brains are limitless in what we can create. We cannot create Truth. Truth has to be measured. Which is why Darwin's theory is still a theory.

And, my rambling is also a theory. It is based on some pretty good personal evidence, but, only applicable to me. I cannot prove anything to anyone based on that evidence.

If we all evolved from a single source, it should stand to reason that we should all have the same information stored somewhere, I would think anyway.

And, if music evolved along with us, why do we all sing different songs?

Uni - verse. One verse. One song. One line of poetry. One turn.

get yourself cooler, lay yourself low
coincidental murder, with nothing to show
with the judge, constipation will go to his head
and his wife's aggravation, you're soon enough dead

it's the same old story, same old song and dance, my friend
it's the same old story, same old song and dance, my friend

gotcha with the cocaine they found with your gun
no smoothy face laywer to getcha undone
say Love ain't the same on the south side of town
you could look, but you ain't gonna find it around

it's the same old story, same old song and dance, my friend
it's the same old story, same old story
same old song and dance

fate comes a-knockin', doors start lockin'
your old time connection, change your direction
ain't gonna change it, can't rearrange it
can't stand the pain when it's all the same to you, my friend

when you're low down and dirty, from walkin' the street
with your old hurdy-gurdy, no one to meet
say Love ain't the same, on the south side of town
you could look, but you ain't gonna find it around

Sorry if I appear to sound extravagant, vague, or nonsensical, or even preachy. That is not my intention. I simply would like at least one person to realize that there is and 'afterlife'. A life after life after life of the same old song and dance.

Recognize what is before you, and what is hidden from you will be revealed to you; for there is nothing hidden that will not be made manifest. Understand what is in front of your face, and then what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you.

Get to know yourself, then you will know everyone. And, you will be known.

I hope this makes sense to someone.

peace

steve

I'm dying to know: what is this incredible theory that you're life's efforts have produced? And how does it challenge Letvin's ideas?

Our DNA is 99% the same as a banana.

This is one of the defining features of evolution: we aren't converging on a certain point, we are diverging away from it and each other.
Hence, as we increase in complexity, we become more different.

Mighty. I will share it privately. It's a long story. It involves Faith, and Spiritual concepts concerning prophesy. So, if you are an Atheist, it probably would not be worth either of our time. If you have Faith in something of a higher nature than ourselves, then, I will share. Let me know.

Bananas? Wow. Maybe I'll come back as a Chiquita:)

Is this theory, or scientific fact? If so, does the Y chromosome play a part.

I took these courses in the late 70's at a school best known for its parties.

Necro will vouch for that. He's from Athens, Ohio.

Dazed and Confused is in order here:)

the thing is we don't all sing different songs, we actually all naturally hover around the same temperament frequencies and naturally stop at the same intervals.

Ben Butler 12-28-2011 08:11 AM

Music adapts over time like everything else in the world does. It changes as the social world differs, cultural beliefs spread, technology develops and money takes precedence in a consumer dominated, materialist, capitalist society.
