Man, I love the show, but I went from mildly disliking the intro to hating it, skipping it every time I watch an ep.

To each their own, though...

^ Yeah, the problem is that if we enjoy the show we end up hearing the theme music way too often. I hate to think how many times I`ve sat through that Friends song, with its feeble line about " ...your day, your month or even your year" . This one, on the other hand, I never tired of listening to:

“ Come down to London Town....” ...where you can fall instantly in love with Liza Goddard as she makes a scrunchy face at a bus, and can also enjoy a snippet of music that comes from Pentangle`s excellent Basket Of Light album :-

Something that the clips in this thread have in common is that they all serve as a little intro to the program that follows.

At one extreme, the wonderful Prisoner intro from bob ( post no. 10 if you missed it ) does it exclusively with images; all you learn from the music is that you`re in for something exceptional, stylish and exciting.
Somewhere in the middle comes post 30, Phanastasio `s Bravestarr, in which the song lyrics set the scene - and guarantee that the song will never enjoy an independent life of its own.
At another other extreme is this intro, which has almost no music at all, but nonetheless, like a fairy story, could captivate children with just a couple of sentences : –

To this day, I still imagine that this is the kind of place that guys like tore inhabit; isn`t he really "Tore The Tor, son of Torgood The Good " ? I think we should be told.
