Ugh. How the fuck does Katie Perry's "Last Friday Night" and the Black Eyed Peas get above Radiohead's awesome "Lotus Flower" from the awesome King Of Limbs Album?

Ugh I need to make my own list. This isn't cuttin it.

Let's be honest: anyone could make a more impressive list than that. It looks like someone was trying to just name 20 music videos.

Uh, I think "Last Friday Night" is ranked correctly (for the short version, the long version just wastes time). "Lotus Flower" doesn't even belong on the list - I find it boring. Also, "Girl Panic" is ranked much too high.

But "I Wanna Go" (Britney Spears) should have been on there (funny, clever stuff), and I think the correct 2011 Best Coast video is "Our Deal," which is long without feeling bloated.

Here's another list, from earlier in the year. I think it's too tame.

The best kind of video is one that enhances your experience of a song, and that video definitely succeeds at that.

As an Aesop/ Hail Mary fan, I really hate that Breakdance Beach track. The video doesn't do much to help either. /shrug

I actually hate the track as well. Eh, it's meant to be a joke though.

I never figured out why it sounds like they are talking in a room at the start, when they clearly aren't meant to be.

By the way, speaking of artists that some people don't enjoy listening to, a Cage the Elephant video should have been on the list.

The batch of videos for Metronomy's recent singles have been quite good. Also a fan of Grouplove's videos. Most of the time they're better than the actual songs, which makes me like the songs more.

Technically not 2011, but **** it.

If anything Katy Perry's video is just something teenagers and young people can relate to. Obviously going out on a Friday night is part of their social life.

Including Rebeca Black.

The video for 'Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win' was pretty awesome. But the full 27 minute version of 'Fight for Your Right' is a really good short movie, and music video. The 'Make Some Noise' video there only scratches the surface of the comedy and surreal feeling of the full one.

But the album the single is on is 2011...

and it's an inspirational tearjerker. Gets me almost every time, by the end.

Rebecca can't sing. It's possibly the worst song ever produced.

LOL, that was awful. I can't help noticing that you come from Cheshire in England. Where abouts? I live in Northwich, if you are familiar with the town.

Yes, I know Northwich well. I always stop by on the way back from Delamere, which is one of my favourite local mountain biking trails.

I live over in the Peak district side of Cheshire, though, so I don't think I could yell "Ben!" and you would answer.

Delamere Forest is lovely, I always use the Mid Cheshire train line to get there. The Peak District is lovely, like visiting Buxton when Northwich Vics are playing. Big fan of them. :D

I remember watching the Vics play Buxton back on the 13th of August, in which you won 3-2. Very interesting game that one.

I went to that game. Not missed a game all season. We are near the top of the league. Buxton are struggling. What's happened from last season mate?

To be honest, I like watching every local game for the sheer fun of it.

Being so tied to a team that you hate all other ones pretty much takes away the fun of watching the game.

The smiley wasn't because I was happy about the points deduction. I'm also someone that takes an interest in other clubs, although I'll remain fiercely loyal to Vics. Good win today against Whitby, we beat FCUM. If you want to message me - please go ahead.

That was a pretty ****ty list with the exception of Foo Fighters White Limo and Radioheads Lotus Flower. My favorite this year would have to go to Tyler the Creators Yonkers.
