You know... Sophomore albums are dominating, there haven't been any votes in 2 days and it's a freaking leap year. I think we'll start submitting albums today for Sophomore Albums
Rules are pretty straight forward. 1. The 2nd LP released is eligible for that sole artist only. (i.e. "Bob Dylan" is different from "Bob Dylan & The Band") 2. EP's do not count to the total albums by a band and neither are they eligible for this theme. That's it. Submit your albums of choice. Happy time. |
Thanks to the quick response by Unknown Solider, we have our first album match-up. He has submitted a little-kown Japanese hard rock band against a very famous artist under an alias, from yours truely. You know the drill. Happy voting!
Satori by Flower Travellin' Band http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Thoqgriw7v...320/satori.jpg Vs Rushes by The Fireman http://images.bluebeat.com/an/5/5/1/2/l2155.jpg |
C'mon you lazy plebs listen to these albums! Or has my choice put you all off?
|
I'm trying to find them. Not too hard, but I'm still making an effort. I figure everyone else is in the same or similar vote.
|
I hadn't even realized they were up. Wasn't paying attention.
I'll try to listen to them tonight after work. |
Both albums are on Grooveshark and I found both on mediafire. PM if you need either!
|
Thanks, I hadn't checked grooveshark yet. I give both a comprehensive listen and vote tomorrow.

i really need to get an external HDD

Satori: 1
Rushes: 0 I enjoyed them both almost equally, but Satori gets the edge, because Rushes feels like it drags on in the longer tracks. It almost had me though, when I found out it was Paul McCartney doing ambient house. Ha! Wouldn't have guessed that. |
I adored the open and close of Rushes, but the innards of the album were good, not great. Satori has a nice vibe to it, and Yamanaka has a great voice that meshes quite nicely with the psych guitars. Much respect to Sir Paul for his musical notoriety and efforts, but my vote goes to Flower Travellin' Band.
