And has no affiliations to any bands/fanboy attitude.

We could also do an album and singles countdown I guess.
Bit clichéd to see Sgt Pepper and Like a Rolling Stone always coming atop of those polls.

the easiest way to do it is just make a thread that will stay open for at least a year since thats how long it would take to get ideas since no one will prob post in the thread. :P

and then just list artist in ABC order or whatever some sort of order of the ones u think should make the final list

Up to How many different options can you put in the polls? The mods could probably adjust it. I think the pool of artists could be divided up by genre and/or date; have a different thread for each category. Having the polls would speed up the vote counting process.

Well there would have to be more than 100 artists to vote for. If that many can be put into one thread poll, then that would be fine. I just assumed that would be too many.

And ya, I doubt I'll be able to organize this. Just a thought

To be fair, no actual audience voted for the greatest artists. The votes were actually done by the artists THEMSELVES.

Alicia Keys is on 100th place? I do think she should be at least on the 60th to 70th place...well...that's just me...
