ok, let's go waaaay back, all the way too...the invention of the stringed guitar! that moment when that man, woman, and caveperson or whatnot figured how to string animal skin to both ends of a stick was the most important moment in musical history.

MTV was already broadcasting for a few years when the money for nothing video came out.The song makes direct references to MTV. how do you write a song that makes a direct reference to something that doesn't exist yet. The song chants "I want my MTV", which was MTV's slogan long before the video came out.

The verdict is: according to Ask Jeeves video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles was the first video played on MTV (USA), however, a few years later (no dates were provided) Money for Nothin' by Dire Straights debuted as the first video on MTV Europe.

what do you mean "no"???!

and yeah i do write interesting stuff my literature teacher asked me to write some stuff for a literature magazine.. woohoo but i'm too busy i'm not sure i have enough time for that, though
