Probably the album that made the biggest impression on me, got me into prog rock and still sounds amazing even now, almost three decades later. Never equalled, never surpassed. A classic in every sense.

A very dark album, to be honest: not much in the way of uplifting songs on it, other than maybe "Garden party", but deep, thoughtful, insightful and full of sharp satirical jabs at everything from high society to sectarian conflict. Definitely deserves a place in anyone's top ten albums.

A really difficult one to answer, as my top five interchange so much. Overall, though, I'd have to go for;

Such a phenomenal album that had such a major impact on me. There was a depth and feeling to this album that's still there for me today. Definitely one of the best 1-7 tracks I've ever heard on any album. I bought the original on tape and wore it out, before finally getting on CD!!

Wow! Someone else like the Alan Parsons Project! Cool! "Pyramid" is a great album, certainly, with a lot of APP weirdness about it (thinking "In the lap of the gods" here) --- not my favourite from them but definitely top five.

Nice to see you again Anteater: out of hibernation?

Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

It will forever be my favorite album. It spoke to me at a time when a lot of things were going awry in my life.
