One song to introduce someone to a band

Aesop Rock - Battery

Basically my favourite song he has done. I think a track like Daylight would maybe set you up for something else, whereas this track is pretty representative of Labor Days as an album.

People Under The Stairs - Anotha' BBQ

This track perfectly exemplifies the fun nature of this Hip Hop group. It's up-beat, intelligent and doesn't take itself seriously. Love it.

Kings Of Leon - Fans

I absolutely adore this track. It shows that this band could be whatever they wanted if they put their minds to it. Groovy bass, good drums and very solid guitars, not to forget an awesome vocal.

The Stone Roses - Elephant Stone

This song perfectly sums up this band. Dreamy guitar lines, awesome punchy drumming and nice lyrics, that aren't too cryptic, or difficult to relate to. My go-to Roses track.

Oasis - Cigarettes & Alcohol

I don't care what anyone says, I love this band, especially their first two albums. Sometimes you just have to enjoy music, not observe, study and attack subtle meaning. Cigarettes & Alcohol... I can relate to that.

Danny Brown - XXX

I have listened to this song around 50 times in the last 6 months (that is a LOT, even for me) and I cannot put into words how much I love it. This guy is such an inspiration to me, and he makes Hip Hop that I wish I could. Yeah, I rate the likes of EL-P and Aesop on a whole other level, but this guy just has something unexplainable.

The Fall - Blindness (Peel Sessions)

I have to admit, my love for this song is fading considering the amount of times I have heard it, added to how long it is, but my god. If any song sums up this band, it's Blindness. BASS. OH DAT BASS.

Death Grips 0 The Fever (Aye Aye)

It's not my favourite of theirs, but probably the best link between the two albums they have made so far. I know these guys will probably end up being looked down on in years to come, in the way people discredit bands like Neutral Milk Hotel and alike, but I don't care.

The Damned's best album in my opinion is the Black Album, although of course Damned Damned Damned and Machine Gun Etiquette are certainly tied. Still, the song I would love to introduce them to anyone is through their excellent appearance on The Young Ones with the B-Side to "Thanks for the Night," "Nasty" (Which seriously should have been the A instead.) Here's everything great about The Damned in one great clip on a very iconic show.

For Soft Cell, I might have picked a song from their third album, but this is possibly the best to introduce someone to them, especially in an area where all anyone knows is "Tainted Love."

The 12" with the dialogue not found on the 7" that's prefect. A real reason for an extended version, in my opinion.

Tom Waits - Going Out West

I think most Tom Waits fans on here will all have a different opinion. Goin Out West was one of the first tracks that wasn't on Bad As Me that I really got into. If there was a good video for Starvin in the Belly of a Whale I probably would have gone that route, but here we are.
