Default One song to introduce someone to a band

Think you can do it? Pick just ONE song --- with accompanying YT --- to show what a band you're into is like. It's harder than you think. To be fair, many bands go through phases, like when they change their singer, or head in a new musical direction, so you can use one song per phase, let's say.

My own idea of how to get someone into Sabbath:

OZZY era
War pigs (from "Paranoid")

DIO era

Heaven and Hell (from "Heaven and Hell")

Lets see...The Rippingtons would be my one-song pick, especially for who doubt the merits of smooth/contemporary jazz. They're real technical and dynamic, but still good for a morning drive.

OK I've got a few from across the spectrum:

Prayers For Atheists (recent 80s hardcore/hip-hop)

Ooze (downtempo electronic) This is my SHI-IT:

Ozric Tentacles (psychedelic space-rock jam) THIS is also my jam:

Hour long set:

Guthrie Govan (guitar virtuoso)

Praxis (??? w/ bill laswell, bootsy, buckethead, brain, bernie worrell)

Praxis Live in concert:

El-P (hip-hop; alternative hip-hop)

Aesop Rock (hip-hop; alternative/abstract)

Probably could have picked a 'classic', but this album is about to join the ranks of the classics, so here's the new single/video:

Nooooooooo, War Pigs is just a boring dirge that seems to go on forever.
Go with Hand of Doom instead.

I'd go with Snow Blind, After Forever or Electric Funeral. Too hard to pick.

Black Sabbath must be one of the hardest bands to choose, because everybody seems to take something different from them.

More because they have such a quality for me.. I honestly could have listed 90% of the material they released with Ozzy.

It takes a while to construct a list of the top ten heavy metal songs for me, with no repeat artists even. Because you can spend all day pondering which Sabbath song is #1 on that list.

this is basically debating which is better SIngles or album tracks .... :P

of course album tracks are more obscure because simply people cant hear them unless they click on the track which takes alot of effort LOL
