The degree at which I enjoy my farts are the highest on the scale.
Anyway, in regard to Limp Bizkit or whatever, I escaped that one. Never liked them. My mid to late '90s were all mostly punk and pop-punk oriented. I was pretty closed-minded to anything else, but some stuff got through. Then from the late '90s to around 2002, I was pretty much in the drug-induced rave phase. I was shielded from a good bit of crap, but also a lot of good stuff that I'm only discovering now. I guess it's better late than never. But speaking of Nu-Metal, the one band I've liked since the '90s and to this day is Deftones. I think I still like them now because of the nostalgia effect, but I'm ok with that. |

I'm starting to seriously dislike Madonna. It's getting harder and harder to enjoy her music knowing what a d!ck she can be.
I've been a die-hard fan for over 15 years. Seniority is the only thing that allows me to overlook her selfishness, but it's getting exhausting.

I've come to terms with it. In middle school I felt like my music had to have a parental advisory on it and in my defense, Limp Bizkit was quite different from what I knew about at the time. Other stuff I listened to around that time: Dr. Dre, Eminem, The Offspring, Korn, Disturbed, etc. Stuff my parents listened to that I was exposed to and may have subconsciously liked but didn't realize till later: Talking Heads, Genesis, Elton John, Jean-Michel Jarre, the Big Chill soundtrack, etc. I just wanted something totally different. I actually thank the Red Hot Chili Peppers for getting me back on track and the Smashing Pumpkins for making it an obsession.

I think 'Erotica' is hands down Madonna's best song. That era for her, she was at a cross-roads and she really should have gone weirdo at that point; become the dance diva version of Jarboe or Evangelista. I think if she had cared more about the art than the accolades, she might have gone that route and still have been quite successful. We're left with a great song though...
