I mean wigs, hats indoors, and other extreme tricks to try to hide from the public a lot of hair loss. Hey, at least it's not a debate.... Let's educate each other.

Elton John is fooling someone about his hair?

Some people think that's all transplanted hair, but from what I've heard, it's a combination of transplant(s) and wigs (plus medication, which I consider perfectly reasonable).

2 of them are dead I don't think they'll be too worried about balding.
And Mick Jones? He just looks like your average balding man in his 50s, which is what he is. I don't see how he's trying to fool anyone.

Mick Jones during the late 80's and at least through the early 90's went to extremes to hide the balding. Watch some B.A.D videos from those years.

Lol, Robert Smith. I Googled him yesterday, but couldn't find strong evidence that he's lost much hair, even though that probably is a wig.

Gary Numan seems to wear a wig, and that's on top of transplants he's admitted having.

What's so bad about taking medication? The problem is it's not a cure. I've heard of some lucky people getting plenty of regrowth, but there are studies that seem to indicate that's rare. Don't trust TV commercials :) I would love to know how much hair Elton got back from medication. He probably had thin hair all over, giving a large base for improvement. [snark] All that effort to get more hair, and yet he didn't bother to lose any weight.

I recognized the name, but I had to look him up to remember who he was, and screw his hair, look at that ****er's teeth!

I was mistaken about the earlier picture being Paul Stanley. No, it's Gene Simmons, and some says it's edited or he's wearing a cap (though I don't know how could he fit his hair under a cap). Looks better bald. Paul Stanley might wear a wig. Both those guys have spent years looking fake.

It's not a bald cap, Gene Simmons has been wearing a wig since the 80s.

As for people who are trying to hide it? I don't really know of any that haven't been mentioned. A lot of the artists that I know are balding have shaved it off. That's what I opted for. I would've done it a lot longer ago had I thought about it sooner. I've noticed a lot of shaved heads in techno, though I know it's popular all around and not JUST popular with techno artists. Chris Liebing, Daniele Crocenzi, Len Faki, Carl Cox, Speedy J, Erphun, Yan Cook, Gymmy J, Joseph Capriati, Deh-Noizer, Adam Beyer, both brothers in Filterheadz, Daniele Papini, Paul Kalkbrenner, etc.

lol Just because some rock stars choose to wear wigs doesnt necessarily mean they are trying to "fool " the public.

Now if they are asked in an interview about their hair and they insist that their hair is "real and theirs" knowing they wear a wig thats something different.

Eno does a great job of pulling off the bald look, but not everyone has a perfect skull shape.

I'm guessing that about 75% of rock stars over the age of 50 have hair enhancement of some kind. Musicians are obsessed with hair vanity.
