Which is the better music city: Birmingham or Liverpool?

Birmingham:

Judas Priest
Black Sabbath
Led Zeppelin*
Steve Winwood
The Moody Blues
Spencer Davis Group
Traffic
The Move
Ocean Colour Scene
Dexys Midnight Runners
The Streets
Electric Light Orchestra

*Bonham/Plant were from the Greater Birmingham area and played in bands which were part of the Birmingham music scene, they performed and rehearsed frequently in the city. The other two were southerners but Birmingham can lay claim just as much, if not more than any other city in my opinion.

Liverpool:

The Beatles
The Zutons
Atomic Kitten

Feel free to add bands for either city. Who wins?

Birmingham for me.

Are you from Birmingham by any chance?

According to my RYM page I have 19 artists from Birmingham & 17 artists from Liverpool.

Which isn't really that impressive when I have 195 from London, 28 from Manchester & 26 from Glasgow.

Godflesh is from Birmingham. I know how I'm voting.

As said by Trollheart you didn't answer my question. If you wanted to make this fairer, you should've at least put an equal amount of bands up from Liverpool. Also Birmingham v Manchester would've been a better choice, as they are the two biggest and most important English cities after London.

Birmingham is actually the biggest city.

I genuinely don't know that many scouse bands.

That's why I suggested Manchester, it has a lot more bands to choose from than Liverpool imo.

I will vote Birmingham because the only group listed on Liverpool that I like is the Beatles
