That's great stuff. It sounds very, forgive the oxy-moron, modern/retro-- I also enjoy a good pun. They are not on spotify. I will be doing some searching for them.

Early 70's Rare Rock fans rejoiced when Stonewall's album was reissued on 180 Gram Vinyl after years of living in serious collector obscurity with the odd good review keeping the interest alive with specialist collectors. The album was originally released on the infamous Tiger Lily Records, then owned by Morris Levy of Roulette Records (A company familiar to fans of Tommy James). The "Tax Scam" label released some albums that were given the faintest of releases. According to some reports, this album was released without the band even knowing about it.

There was a release in Italy in 1976 that kept the interest going as well with the album re-titled Stoner.

This "Tube" is with three of the songs from the collector-approved album that is a good example of how these lost albums can be every once in a while.

TS Bonniwell is none other than Sean Bonniwell of the Music Machine. In 1969, with the second lineup of the band now history, the singer/songwriter decided to go out on his own with an album on Capitol that had it's moment including this one which almost equals the best of the Music Machine. Sadly, the album went under-promoted and died right there and then.

Bonniwell had a short time in the B-Film world, offering excellent music to films such as The Other Side of Madness (aka The Helter Skelter Murders), Night of the Witches, How to Succeed With Sex, and Day of the Wolves.

I think the modern/retro might come from them using Phil Oakey from The Human League on vocals.

If you have trouble finding it send me a PM, I uploaded my CD of it the other day, I'm sure a copy could find it's way to you somehow.

I don't know if its considered a gem or not, but they are still people out that say that there isn't such thing as space lord by monster magnet unedited version. There is, but its a remix. It sounds alright, but I wish I could find a normal version of the song unedited besides the remix or live version I found. I read on youtube comments it was released in Europe, and then I read that isn't true either

Ha! I just bought both of their albums within the last month. I found the album you mentioned for 5 bucks at Best Buy in the clearance bin, then I looked them up and got the other album as well. Really good band, a little too "Police"-sounding though. I wish they'd throw in some more Daft Punk influence, but overall, they're EXTREMELY solid.

no, it's not either of them.
it should just come up if you search rags to riches 1976 or the date and title.
it is better than those versions.
The video is just a plain white background with a signature

I found this thread and was given some enjoyment. I felt I needed to return it some,
so, I joined just make a post here. (I'm sure I'll poke around and enjoy it more when I have time.)

Alas, though, I can't as I have to make 15 posts in order to place links to the music.

(post one, I guess?)

EDIT: guess I can embed youtube without the 15 post limit? (maybe should read the newbie area before rushing to post ) will do this soon.
