Baker Street saxophone
wasn't sure where to put this, jazz? funk? pop? rock? Is there any artists/groups who have a saxophone featured predominently that have the same kind of feel to it as baker street. A lot of saxophone stuff to me just seems really gloomy and slow but the saxophone in baker street always seemed to have so much passion. Enlighten me please.

Today Rock has sort of reestablished its personality, its not willing to throw in flourishes of jazz, reggae, country, and samba - all in one song. Because its gone back to a sort of guttural, raw sound, trumpet would take precedent because it tends to call down the thunder, to turn a phrase, a little better than the sax which is more jazz oriented.
