I like both to an extent, but the minimalism and composition of the Faust cover gives it a slight edge for me.

What that other dude said about the Faust one looking like a bad MS Paint job. The pic would look cool on its own, but the font right next to it just looks ****ty.

I think it's kind of funny that two album covers from the 70s are being described in terms of Photoshop and MS Paint.

That thought was missed on me. The Can cover reminds me of a Leroy Neiman painting and I know how fond you're of his work so it came as no surprise you picked Faust.
