if this were a poll, i would definitely vote for this out of anything mentioned thus far. jesus christ. the guitar player looks like he's really mad at how much they suck for the first two minutes. they could have redeemed themselves if they managed to land some of those wacky accents (which they were clearly trying to do)... but no. what a total failure. that was gross.

Christian Pop/MOR (Sometimes known as CHR, I think) -

To those who are religious, this is not against the actual religion, but the Mercy Me-style of MOR that's seriously nothing but your typical bland and over-dramatic spew only with the word "Girl" replaced by the words "Jesus" or "God". Yes, the South Park/Faith Plus One episode nailed it perfectly. Back in my day, the concept was seriously laughable as it was filled with musicians like DeGarmo and Key and people who fill up a Worst album Cover website or book - in other words limp garbage. By The 90's, they knew that in order to hype a sagging business, they had to throw in the Post-Grunge and Boy Band stuff (DC Talk for starters...). The sound of the Children of The 700 Club forming a Band in Jesus Camp, really.

I completely agree with this. It seems like every Christian rock band I hear is some kind of watered down version of Hootie & the Blowfish, which is horror-inducing in its boringness.

I agree. I am christian myself, but christianity and rock just doesn't go together. Especially christian punk. Punk rock is all swearing, rebellion and profanity, and christianity is against that. I'm kind of glad Underoath split up.
