I dont own a reel to reel player either, I just said it to show my digust for how mp3s sound. I do, however, own an 8track player.

reel to reel is actually capable of producung higher fidelity than any of mediums liste besides CD, not that its a very convenient medium, but.....

Yeah, It's all but forgotten, Everyone cares about convience now, just look at Mcdonalds, Walmart and mp3s, conveince over Quality, That's the american way,.

I say mp3, because it's what I'm used to. Having said that, vinyl does have a certin "je ne sais quoi"...

the thing with magnetic tapes is that they have to be perfect cuz if you wanna listen to a certain song in the middle of the tape, you have forward and then you forward too far and you have to rewind stop play stop rewind stop play stop forward stop play for a while until you get to the right spot. but that's what i grew up with.....so they have hold many of my memories, but with all this technology some people don't have tape players! they buy the stereo that has radio,cd,mp3 and plugs into your kitchen and makes appropriate food to match the music you're listening to......

Yeah tape isn't that conveint, but most the time I just listen the whole thing through no matter what medium i'm listening to, so it's not a big deal for me,. Dang peolple and their technologies,.
