Default Site to Inform You of New Album Releases by Artists You Select?

Does a website exist where essentially, you put all your favourite artists no matter what genre or label and it just informs you when they release a new album? I am having a ****-all difficult time keeping track.

Rym?

I found one, https://muspy.com that I am testing now.

I added the bands to follow that weren't totally unheard of, but it "found" them, though I don't know of it will inform of a release. The bands are: Fleshgod Apocalypse, Faülnis, Agrypnie and Grabnebelfürsten.

I think I will look up a made up band and see if it "finds" it. Well it didn't find my made up one so... maybe?

I found another, albumreminder.com. It didn't find the fake one and it found all the ones above except Faülnis.

I believe he's referring to Rate Your Music, which is a music cataloging site that also informs you of new releases by artists of albums that you own. It's a wonderful, wonderful tool, even if the community is terrible.

http://rateyourmusic.com/

It's the single most important resource I know of for great finds.

RYM is great. It's easy to find news about artists there, and there's a section on the homepage listing new releases from all genres.

I don't want news or anything.

I just want e-mail notifications when bands I list release a new album. That is all.

When I went to the site, I saw nothing that suggested that. I am not saying they don't, but they don't appear to have a primary focus of crawling news for new releases to match to your list, which makes me iffy because the less focused it is on that, the more likely it is to miss the kind of stuff I want to keep track of.

I don't want general news either or general anything, just when bands I list release a new album.

When you rate an album well, or add it to your collection, a feed on your user page tells you when that artist has a new release. You just have to check the page.

See that's a lot.

I just want to add the artist and get some form of notification and not have to constantly check. To go and log in and look at my feed.

I have too many sites to check and keep up with. That is why I post here from my phone. ALL forums I have in one app and it is super quick.

The whole point is to not have to ever go check and just be notified. No dealing with an interface or anything. Just set it and forget it. E-mail comes, got it and done.

Twice now I rejected RYM as not what I am looking for, please do not try and sell me on it again.

I don't want news or recommendations or reviews or to have to set a bunch of options where I only see a new release and then have to remember to go check the site.

I don't want all or random or genre related releases. ONLY when bands I want to know about release a new album.
