I've discussed this multiple times, but yeah, they're white countries. White refers to both Indigenous European groups and Indo-European groups. Most White people are of Indo-European descent, meaning they're mixed from both Northern Indian Subcontinent and Indigenous European groups. This is substantiated by both anthropological and linguistic fact. This is why the Shah of Iran called himself the Light of the Aryans, this is why there's no shortage of blue-eyed, blonde haired people in the Middle East or South Central Asia, and this is why the census in the USA points out that people from these regions are White while you're filling it out.

Really? Huh. My bad. I was just reminded of how people were referring to the Boston bomber that didn't get killed as "white", when they're Chechnyan and not very white looking.

Chechnyans are considered Caucasian also.

Well, it gets complicated because after the migration towards Europe other groups continued to migrate to the regions these people came from. Further, because of phenotype plasticity & the differing environments these people settled in some phenotypes became markedly different. Noses are pretty good example of the later; peoples who settled in dryer areas tended to get larger noses due to environmental pressure on these plastic phenotypes as a larger nose was beneficial for these people due to their current climate. Hence the stereotypical nose of Iranians.

Its one thing to express an opinion, but its a different ballgame all together when the president of the united states does it. I will give you an example of why I believe Obama's statement was politically incorrect. His statement brings up the question as to why he is not addressing the fact that 75% of black mothers in this country have children out of wedlock. Family structure itself is what should be addressed more importantly than Whine Merchandising. This is something that the black leaders of this country should address themselves, because I don't think they even want any help by the whites at all. Im not trying to turn this into a racial argument DJ, Im just debating the subject with you in presenting different views from both sides, nothing more. :)

I didn't think it was an argument. You are free to express your opinion on the matter while we are having this discussion. It seems like there are loads of people that want to just sweep this issue under the rug and not talk about it like it doesn't exist. Those are the same people that believe "Oh we have a black president. Racial tensions/discrimination doesn't exist." What does having children out of wedlock have to do with anything? Family structure isn't a good indicator of anything. This is similar to when people bring up the fact that kids would be better off in a two parent straight household as opposed to living with two same sex parents. The numbers show that abuse rate of children is through the roof with two parent straight sex households. So, I don't get the point of what you are trying to make with the family structure point.

We just seem to be going in circles here, so I will close the discussion on my end. I don't want to make the Zimmerman case something more than it is. ;)

This is the kind of response I expect from a leader concerning racial tensions/discrimination.

Florida Boycott List That Included Kanye, Jay Z, Alicia Keys Discredited
By Kia Makarechi Posted: 07/23/2013 4:36 pm EDT | Updated: 07/23/2013 4:38 pm EDT

Representatives for a number of artists on a purported list of musicians and performers boycotting the state of Florida in the wake of the George Zimmerman verdict said Tuesday that their clients have never heard of or been contacted about the list.

American Urban Radio Networks White House correspondent April Ryan first reported the list -- which includes heavyweights like Justin Timberlake, Jay Z, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Madonna and more -- on Monday and credited it to "sources close to the Stevie Wonder camp." The Huffington Post linked to Ryan's list and noted at the time that representatives for artists were being contacted. Late Monday night, HuffPost sources revealed that Rihanna was not involved, despite being named. MotherJones received word that the Rolling Stones -- who also appear on the list -- had never heard of such a campaign.

Additional representatives on Tuesday confirmed to HuffPost that other boldface names on the the list were not involved, but declined to identify their clients on the record. Denials reached a critical mass that began to shed serious doubt on the veracity of the list. On Tuesday, Ryan posted an update on her website in which she said that representatives of artists named "are uncomfortable being identified on that list."

A similar list had been posted on Instagram and Facebook in advance of Ryan's posting.

HuffPost reached Ryan by phone on Tuesday afternoon, and she said the list came from "very credible sources" who had provided her with accurate information in the past. Ryan said she had not seen the Instagram or other social media posts in advance of publishing the list or her update.

Ryan said she received the the list from sources who were "in support of Stevie" and that it was sent to her via text message "in the middle of the night." She saw the message later on Monday morning.

The OP article is a fraud. Stevie Wonder, Mary Mary, and Eddie Levert are the only artists that have made official statements boycotting Florida. It would be nice to see if more big name artists take Stevie's lead and boycott as well.

I want to apologize to Sugar because I should have stopped after she said this but I was caught up in the discussion with Necro that I ignored it and I'm sorry about that.

This is going to be my last post on the matter seeing as Necro feels uncomfortable discussing it and doesn't want to expand on points that he made earlier.

The speech you posted and this one are very similar in that both leaders relate personal experiences to their speech. The only difference is that Obama goes into greater detail about his personal experiences instead of mentioning one little line about his personal experience in an attempt to relate then going off to quote other people. I'm not saying it's a bad speech but it's very impersonal compared to Obama's.
