As of now, the sign up period has ended and I've randomized a list of everyone's usernames.

The member who gets to choose the album we'll listen to for this first round is djchameleon. You have until August 4th to remove every tag from an album of your choice, upload it, and PM me the link.

Just FYI for anyone else doing this in the future. You can create a copy of the tracks with all the tags removed instead of removing them from the original track and having to re-enter all that information later on.

I've never played around with remove tags so it was new information for me.

Obviously this is too late for the first round, but for future rounds what does everyone think to keeping the name of the user choosing and uploading the album a secret as well?

Would that add more to the mystery element of the club, and approaching the album with absolutely no pre-conceptions whatsoever, or would it not achieve anything?

I'm on board with this idea, that's actually how I thought it was going to go down originally.

I initially thought that was the case as well. I like Mojo's reasoning behind keeping the uploader secret and I think it would add a whole other dimension to this, especially if more people come on board. Obviously this thread is brand new so there are always kinks to be ironed out.

I'll try to get on board during the next sign-up phase as well, and I agree with Mojo this idea would be cool.

I swear there used to be an album club like this a few years ago, and it was really awesome.
