^ She is overrated but she has made a much greater impact on the pop genre than Lady Gaga which was my only arguement.
She at least wrote a few pop classics and took musical risks which I cant say for 98% of the female pop artists out now.

You really need to get out of the habit of calling posters "haters" because of their opinions because its immature. I presented rational, intelligent and legitimate reasons for my opinion.


The award is for artists who have made groundbreaking and iconic music videos and he doesnt have not one in his disography.

What music video has JT created that was a game changer for the pop genre? How has he impacted the pop genre? What classics has he created? Its much more to what makes a "legend" that seems to be a word that is thrown around. He is not a legend and he did not deserve that award.

I didn't call you a hater. I called your opinion full of hate it sounded so personal everything that you said in the last paragraph. None of those were facts. it just sounded like you had a vendetta against him.

You don't remember any JT music videos because you choose not to remember. You have decided that you don't like him and you feel like he's not an original artist so you choose to ignore all of his music videos that have come out over time because you feel like he's ripping off of other artists and the fact that he's having a success run.

I didnt attack him as an human being or call him out his name.

Everytime I constructively criticize an artist you always say this lol I just think its immature because everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I could see if I said Justin sucks and didnt offer any legitimiate intelligent reasoning for my opinion but I have.

I am a big Michael Jackson fan so I feel strongly about the award and who it is given too. I dont think he deserved the award.

Ive said countless times on this site that JT makes pretty descent music and unlike his peers tries to be some what creative but no he is not original and no he is not one of my favorite artists. I dont know him personally to dislike him as a person.


I am not ignoring any of his music videos. I do not remember any of his music videos from start to finish.

I never said he ripped off anyone. I just dont think he has made groundbreaking music videos that have changed the video medium. That is what the award is about.

It's not even about you constructively criticizing an artist what you say majority of the times comes off like you have a personal grudge against the artist and goes far beyond the scope of just backing up your opinion with logical reasoning. You don't flat out say the person sucks but the way you word things you might as well just come out and say you think the person sucks. You just sugar coat it. How is that real talk when you are tip toeing around it and sugar coating stuff?





You have to say it again more times and remind me because it doesn't seem like you feel that way when you say some of the stuff that you have within this thread.

Again yes I know Gaga was influenced by Madonna (most female artists in fact are). But I am speaking of today's pop music, not pop music as a whole. Madonna is just a arrogant ass who just likes to create controversy because she is just a attention whore person. However she is far more responsible than let's say her fan LADY GAGA.

You have not really been paying attention to what Gaga has been doing. I don't recall Madonna going out (not musical related) and wear almost no clothes. I also don't recall Madonna going to a baseball and wear just a bra, spandex, and underwear.

Madonna has lost touch these days. Her best years were doing the 1980s, 1990s, early and mid 2000s. Since then, Madonna is just not the same. I speaking about Gaga as of today's pop music. I am no Gaga lover but I know she is the influence of today's pop music.

As I said, there are many Lady Gaga wannabes. It is terrible. I mean Jessie J, Miley Cyrus, and Kesha to name a few. They want to act her and look like her. I mean it is so sad. I mean they are female artists and upcoming female acts that now want to emulate Gaga. It is terrible but that is what is likely to happen. I know Gaga is overrated( I have said million times). Lady Gaga has a great voice but ruins with her nonsense whorish antics. I just wonder why Gaga can once just focus on her singing.

Real Talk, understand I am speaking of Today's pop music not pop music genre of all years. OK.

The problem with Franco Pepe Kalle is that he is a unpredictable character. There is surprising info about this man. You think he only likes Franco and Pepe Kalle but when you find out that he hears other artists, you are shock.

I'd say JT is very similar to Jackson in alot of ways. He has a great vocal range, he always choreographs great dance routines. He has number one hits and has a number of great videos. DJ already mentioned some but you've disregarded them for some reason. The only iconic MJ video I can really think of is Thriller. Billy Jean was just him dancing around on lit up tile. Beat it was him screaming in a warehouse and having a knife fight in an alley. What really has MJ done that JT hasn't? I think JT is every bit the icon that MJ was. I'm not really much of a pop fan but hes a pretty dedicated and talented artist.

I couldn't disagree more, but that discussion should happen in a different thread. I firmly believe anyone who thinks Madonna is overrated hasn't listened to her albums Ray of Light or Music from top to bottom. Have you?

I didn't get to watch the VMAs (Turkey...time difference...blah blah blah)...and my computer is too stupid to function on the MTV website for some reason. Does anybody know a place where I could watch the whole show?

Also, from the vids I've seen so far, all I can say is the N*SYNC "reunion" was WAY too short. I don't know who's idea that was but they ****ed up a once in a lifetime opportunity.

How does that make sense? Justin Timberlake was nominated in all three categories with his video Mirrors.
