Yes Lady Gaga is one of the bigger pop stars of her generation but that isnt saying a whole lot in a pop industry that builds products and backs them by machines. (Not a huge Madonna fan but) Madonna was controversial and shocking but she was an artist She also had some classic pop tunes under her belt. She pushed herself and took risks. Gaga just tries hard to get attention because she knows that is what sells. I still dont see the artistic growth with her music or the artistry aspect about her. She still makes the same pop music. You can not outdo someone who has done it all already.

The VMA's over the last 10-15 years have been a joke and I think MTV is really playing a joke on the public with these award shows because they know they dont play music and even last year officially took the "music television" label off the channel. There is no way in hell JT deserved that MJ video vanguard award lmao and Im glad that he openly admitted he didnt. Pop music today is awful.... a mess. Im glad I didnt waste 2 hours watching that.

I hear you but I was not implying that Gaga is better than Madonna. I never said that. What I said was when it came to her antics, she is a lot dirtier than Madonna. Madonna did dirty **** but compare to Gaga, it looks so innocently done. THAT IS A UNDERSTATEMENT.

But RealTalk92, you got to read my previous statements because I already made it clear on one thing. I have said and will continue to say that Lady Gaga is overrated. She is not as great as her and her fans want you to believe. Lady Gaga is total BS. Lady Gaga is talented and can sing but ruins with her total stupidity.

Anyway, you can deny Gaga has no influence but she does. I mean you have many Gaga wannabes (think Jessie J or Kesha, HELLOOOOO). Sooner or later, we will not only have Gaga but Gaga Wannabes around us. That will the new reality sooner or later.

It is rumored that Clapton took major inspiration from Kesha on his latest solo project. The london symphony also apparently has a 10 million dollar bid in to purchase her next masterpiece.

How can Lady Gaga influenced her own generation? We both can agree that Lady Gaga copies heavily from Madonna and Madonna has influenced an entire generation herself. So in other words, those artists are probably also influenced by Madonna. I understand what you are saying but all this credit that you are giving Lady Gaga as far as influence goes really belongs to Madonna since Lady Gaga copies everything from her.

I still think Madonna was more out there than Lady Gaga. Gaga tries to be more shocking with what she wears but Madonna wrote a sex book, had multiple celebrities sexual partners (male as well as female), made shocking comments about other celebrities, herself, sexuality etc. She has did alot more shocking things. Her personality was more daring than Gaga... who is more image oriented than anything. Gagas act is way more calculated than Madonna in my opinion.

I really enjoyed his sexy back music, I used to be dancing in the clubs like him, embarrassing my friends.

I'm sorry but Madonna is over rated. I just don't see any appeal. I can also say that no one is denying that Lady Gaga is influenced by Madonna, it's a homage.
