I honestly can not believe people are really trying to argue Michael Jackson can not sing wow... You dont have to like him but that arguement is straight hatarade. He was a very talented singer. There is always going to be someone that is always "more better" but that doesnt take away the fact that he was a great singer that put emotion in singing (which alot of singers cant do)

Not that it means anything but since some brought up Prince, I guess I wanna know how do they feel about his limited vocal abilities being Michael Jackson was a far superior singer and had a broader range.

Can people elaborate on how his vocals were limited???

Michael had different ranges had different points in his career and age. Here are just a few. I picked thesse because I personally feel these were the "peak" eras of his singing ability. There are alot more though. I tried to find the more accurate ones.

You do not have to like Michael Jackson. I repeat you do NOT have to like Michael Jackson lol but please dont sit here and argue the man could not sing and his range was limited.

I liked to see Justin hit the notes Michael made when he was only 11 years old among other things. I can not believe people are really comparing him to JT

Are you talking to me? I never said or implied that MJ was a bad singer. Don't take it so personally.

That picture and the gif is disgustingly cringe worthy.

Try too hard, ugly, ugly cunt. I don't even think she's done this to get people talking the more I think about it, she's just a try hard, isn't she into drugs big time now? This is just her being normal I reckon.

And if she has done this for publicity then she deserves all the comments she gets.

Michael Jackson can sing.

Guys, I don't think realtalk is taking anything personally. She obviously really loves MJ, just like I do, and supports his work.

She's not crying about it or sitting here saying "**** YOU GUYS."

She's giving you her (really good) examples of why she thinks your opinion is wrong. If everyone starts going and telling her "don't take it so personally," the same thing's going to happen in this thread like it happens in so many others. Don't let what happens in the lounge go on in here.

On that note, where did you find all of that information, realtalk? It's so interesting!

I like Michael Jackson too but I'm not going to say that someone who doesn't think he is good or a good singer or whatever has a hateful opinion or is a hater like this person is implying. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and they should all be respected.

Arya Stark 08-30-2013 08:37 AM

I agree with you that everyone's entitled to their opinion! :] Just trying to lessen future drama from happening.

I really want to talk about Kanye's performance. Did anyone else love it? I feel like he was so into it!!

The same quote can be applied to Justin Timberlake. The only similarities that I've noticed between the two singers is when they use Falsetto they sound pretty similar.

Thanks Arya!

They have many vocal range descriptions of artists on youtube and Michael has alot. I tried to pick the ones from his peak years as a singer. Also, I picked different eras because its important to note that MJ had different singing styles, tones and ranges at different points of his career.

Yea you are starting to rub off on me lol and this is true. Like for instance, I think JT is a much better singer than Justin Bieber lol but comparing him to MJ and insisting that they have the same ranges is kinda insulting lol haha (not saying you have but just saying in general)

I can see why you would think they share the same falsetto sound but I personally can still hear a difference. Michael has influenced alot of pop male singers who try to mimic his falsetto sound but it comes out as "forced" and not natural. Justin's voice is fine for the type of music he makes but if you look at the different ranges that Michael has above, Justin would not be able to hit none of those notes and doesnt have the same range. I am not trying to bash Justin but if someone is trying to argue that MJ and JT have the same vocal ranges than I simply have to disagree.

Michael clearly has the broader range and I am not just saying this because I like him lol I am speaking from an objective view point.

That's really cool, I have to take a look at those videos. It really shows how amazing he was.
