I do have those friends who are super picky on their music. I remember when I was in high school when a person constantly tlak about how much they love rock music and I used to listen to that a lot. But man that man was so against hip hop and R&B. It was fascinating.

I'm not picky. I listen to anything/everything. As long as it makes me move to the groove.

I know many people who are extremely picky when it comes to music, so much so that they refuse to listen to entire genres, and when they do hesitatingly agree to listen to a track outside their favourite genres they've already decided they don't like it before listening to it properly. I don't know if it's down to elitism or plain narrow mindedness but it's their loss.

I used to be pretty picky but it's safe to say lately I've been open-minded. For example, I used to hate electronica, then I stumbled across some fascinating tunes and realised it's more creative than I thought.

I had this manager once who was incredibly critical. For the most part what I heard about his music taste were musicians he negatively judged, and the only 2 bands I discovered he liked are Pink Floyd and The Panics. It's hard to talk music with a guy you can barely relate to because all you ever do is go downhill with it.

does he sit you down in a chair, strap you to it and force you to constantly listen to said punk?

Nah it's just when I'm cruising with him or chilling at his place it's always on. I like variety.

ahh I get ya.

have you ever talked to him about it and told him to listen to some variety or tried to introduce him to new genres that he might like?
