Default Music on music

As far as I know, there isn't a thread about this yet. When music talks about itself. Music about music (could it be called metamusic?).

I guess there are examples from all styles. But, right now, rock songs come to mind.

Four classics. Bob Seger: Old Time Rock 'n Roll. Chubby Checker: Let's Twist Again. Elvis Presley: Jailhouse Rock. Bill Haley: Rock Around the Clock.

Other styles. Disco. The Village People: Can't Stop the Music.

More examples? Other genres?

I'll try to find other genres (I'm sure other will possibly find other songs soon), but for right now I'll just post these on for you...

Venom with Metal Black and Black Metal

Bob Seger talking about "Heavy Music" in two parts on the original 1967 classic.

The Trammps telling you about the Disco Inferno! Get it on for your Boogie Nights!

A song about Doing the Ska with Ska (There's a song about doing The Twist, so I felt it to be with the concept)! Enjoy!

WARNING: This will get mainly cheesy in the next couple of clips, but these fit the concept...
Country (plus a little Boogie Woogie!)

There was a seriously ultra cheesy song called "Punkstation" from I think 1982 that I'm still trying to find somewhere. It's by a band I think from PA who actually had a decent B-side (kind of like a very light weight Cars), but damn me I will try to find it!!! Had the record as a kid, but sadly it went out of my collection. I really winced at the lyrics, but right now would be a good time to post it just for the hell of it.

A little more Ska, one from a fun UK Ska revival band, the other by someone who was more of a 60's Teen Idol (but points for trying).

Bad Manners' attempt to bring Ska into the Late 80's. Acid Ska was certainly a concept doomed to fail, but not without some amusement...points for trying, though. Then, it was WTF, today it's actually not too bad.

...This, however...

Nice idea for a thread, Zaqarbal !

I thought of a couple of fairly obvious songs:-
The Stones: It´s only rock n roll
The Beatles: It´s gotta be rock n roll music

And here are two songs I´d like to share because perhaps they are less well known, but are lots of fun anyway:-

A great cover of this legendary song...

Getting back to the Honky Tonks, here's one from Hank the Drifter, better known for being a Hank Williams Sr. tribute performer but with songs of his own through the years.

Digging the sounds of Muddy Waters singing about Rock and Roll!

The Fleshtones saluting the American Beat!
The original version...'

Plus the '84 video. Neat collection of photos at the end!

Plus, you have to have Soul!

^ Thank you, Screen 13 ! I knew it wasn´t a Beatles original, but I was too lazy to figure out whose song it was.

You´re coming up with an impressive collection of clips; best title has to go to The Blues Had A Baby And They Called It Rock And Roll!

I can´t seem to shift into any other genre yet, so here´s a couple of personal favourites about rock and roll:-

Pick it up, plug it in, PLAY GUITAR!:-
