Occasionally I tend to download music, usually from iTunes, but for the most part I've found this year I've just been sticking to streaming music on Spotify. So have only turned to downloading songs that aren't available on there.

I don't remember the last time I bought a CD or anything, but it used to be so fun going into a shop and just browsing through CDs until an album cover or something caught my eye, and then I could discover a new band that way!

CD's, but I stick them all into my itunes so i can catalogue them and keep a record of all my music. I tend to get them for like £1 on amazon used, never really buy them new.

lol at paying for digital downloads also. If I'm paying for something I want it to exist outside of my hard drive. & If the artist can't be bothered to get physicals pressed up then I'm having it for free thank you very much.

Most is illegally downloaded though. I used to collect CD's a lot between 2000-2003 until they all got pinched. I only buy music if I consider it a 5* album, music is far too expensive, thank God for the internet. I reckon CD's would be around £20 now if downloading hadn't happened. It had reached £15.99 in shops 10 years ago ffs.
To completely contradict myself, I've just bought 'Rock Creek Park' from Oddisee's bandcamp page.

The only reason I did this is because I feel bad stealing his music and couldn't find it on torrent sites. Mostly the latter.

Eh, bandcamp is pretty much the only time I pay for digital music. I probably buy 5-10 releases a month off there. Other than that I won't pay for digial music. I buy a lot of records, used CDs and then the rest is just downloading.

.

I'd have bought it off amazon, but if it was only on iTunes then I'd have gone without.
