It said someone had done some research and came up with "music for cats" which has 3 songs you can sample and download here:
Music for Cats - listen
"Rusty's Ballad" is actually not all that different from "Please Let Me Wonder" in terms of note range and tempo. That might explain why my cat seems to like it. As for the first two songs, I'm pretty sure I can find some minimalist classical music (John Adams) that is similar. Maybe I should make a mixtape for my cat. :D

I just played these for my cat. She seems to like Spooky's Ditty and Rusty's Ballad the most. So I downloaded those two for her. :D

But I think the bird songs they have on the tunes might be a bit too distracting, she was looking around wondering where the birds were coming from!

Wow, my cat is reeeeally chilling out right now with Rusty's Ballad on repeat mode!

I only own fish. But they don't like anything with a heavy drums/bass part. It shakes their home too much. They seem to be more relaxed with quiet "flowing" music like a Beach Boys or Billy Joel ballad, but I think because I'm more relaxed, the fish appear to be more relaxed.

I think your fish might like this song.

Have played that one for them before. Unfortunately, it didn't draw much of a reaction. They were especially rattled by the following track, I Want You (she's so heavy).

My Maltese dog doesn't seem to take notice when I'm playing music around him. He's fallen asleep many times on my lap when I've been sitting at my desktop PC listening to a Black Metal CD. Though when I'm in the car with my Mom and him, and my Mom's playing her music (The Beatles, The Cars, Queen, etc.) my dog sometimes whimpers, though it may be due to other reasons than the music.

I don't think my cats even notice when there's music on, unless it has a flute or whistle in it in which case my older cat flees the room in terror.

If you listen to albums composed of cat meowing symphonies, cats will get something out of it.

What about a feral choir?

Actually, sadly I do not have a pet, but when I was in Spain with my best friend, we had her dog with us, and he LOVES the sound of a guitar. So every time I started playing, he started smiling 'n looking at me, and when I stopped he was like: "Pff! Arsehole! I'm goin to look somewhere else now, until you start playing again"
I love animal reactions to music :)

I want a pet rock :c.

I'd inmagine pets have different ears and they hear diffrently, so our music would not be the same to them, or am I wrong?
