Doo Wop is mostly a vocal based genre. Most of the songs build off of the harmony of the vocal parts of a singing group. However, most of the Doo Wop songs have a repeated loop beat that is commonly used. The beat can be created by instruments or by vocals. It may have other instruments and sounds added to that distinct beat but it is commonly used in the genre and some of your original above posted songs did not have that. The harmonizing along with that distinct beat/rhythm separates the Doo Wop genre from other genres.

Yea, apparently you are right, it's labeled as pop although i found under a doo wop search as well.
