A really cool guitar riff that plays just once (as if it's the refrain), but leaves it as just that.

Makes me want to stal the riff and write a song where that riff is the main riff.

That band is Endless Boogie. Their first two vinyl-only releases - Vol I & II were the distilled essence of the blues - each track is a single beautiful blues riff played over and over and over again.

Track down Vol 1, side 1, track 1 - "Stanton Karma" - killer stuff.
