Default Listen to an album and comment

So, here is a new game we can start. I will first recommend an album for someone to listen to on Youtube or Spotify and they will go and listen to it if they haven't heard it before. And give it a rating system 1-10 (10/10 being the best) and they will write a paragraph what they think about it. It doesn't have to be long. Just what they enjoyed and didn't enjoy about it. So the person who wrote the paragraph will recommend the next person to listen to a new album. It can well known or artists you think many people haven't heard of before. It doesn't matter. Give a little synopsis of the artist, if you want to. Any questions about this game, let me know.

I recommend for someone to listen to: Aztec Camera – High Land, Hard Rain

Aztec Camera were a new wave, post-punk, and jangle pop band. Sentimental and thoughtful but focused and determined, musically speaking. They are in the vein of XTC and The Field Mice. This album came out in 1983 but Roddy Frame, the lead singer just released another solo album.

P.S. This Youtube link is the "expanded" version. You can listen to 45:25 where the actual album ends and comment there. Or you choose to listen to the whole thing. Your choice.

Anyone interested? It might be fun. Anyone want to try to listen to Aztec Camera? Then after that person comments they can choose an album they want someone else to listen to.

I'll give a listen later, if someone else hasn't by then. It's hard to get people on board for this kind of thing, you gotta be patient.

Thanks for giving it a listen, Sean David. I don't know if many people knew Aztec Camera back then for them to get the respect they I would've have hoped they got. But they were getting more exposure today. That's their only publicly known album, though. But they have like 3 other good albums. I just wouldn't recommend their album, Love. Cheesy 80's. Happy you enjoyed it.

And sure, Carpe Mortem, listen when you get a chance. And you can choose the next album if you want. Inlcude a Youtube or Spotify link as well.

Or Sean David, you can choose the next album. You or Mortem pick the next album.

I'd forgotten what Aztec Camera sounded like until I heard the beginning of the first song "Oblivious." That song got quite a bit of radio airplay when the album was released in 1983. I have to admit I'm not much of a pop music fan and that particular style of pop is just too wimpy and lightweight sounding for my taste. I only made it through seven and a half minutes of the album before I couldn't take any more.

No, problem, Psy-Fi, not for everyone. I can understand the "lightweight" factor to it. But as a female, I like "delicate" music. I have to keep in mind this forum is filled with dudes. lol.

Anyone can pick the next album for someone to listen to through youtube video or Spotify playlist. If someone doesn't post a new album by 10 tonight, I will have to pick a new album because I want this game to continue.

I thought I would do one more people were familiar with. Death Cab For Cutie's Photo Album. It's a playlist, enjoy and feel free to comment:

The person who comments can post a new album.
