Sparklehorse, Portishead, James Chance, and Raveonettes are all excellent choices.

I struggled a bit with the 'R' the only 3 choices that came to mind were Radiohead, Raconteurs and Raveonettes.

And it didn't even occur to me use Husker du for the 'H' idk why, good one. :)

If you really wanted to make it challenging we shouldn't repeat bands previously mentioned.

Aside from many of the other awesome bands on your list I love that you included Vreid. I've only heard a little of them, but what I've heard is pretty fantastic.

That's right, the 'S' was really tricky with the Stranglers, the Smiths, the Stooges, the Sex Pistols, so on, as well as the 'D' and 'P' and with some letters you almost have no choice

Q, X, Z, were a little troublesome for me, some ppl are skipping them

I decided to try a favorite punk bands list just for the hell of it. A bit more difficult to complete the list. I had to cheat and put Iggy Pop in the 'I' section because there are no punk bands beginning with that letter in my collection and I couldn't think of any.
