Mick Taylor or Keith Richards

Which is better??

Mr. Charlie 06-18-2014 07:48 PM

Peter Andre.

Moongirl 06-18-2014 08:30 PM

Ha ha

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 10:58 AM

We both know he's better than Mick or Keith. The truth is I'd let Peter bugger my bottom sore and I ain't even homosexual. Know what I mean?

Moongirl 06-19-2014 02:17 PM

I know what u mean! But I disagree on your opinion.... We all know that mick is the greatest!

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 05:23 PM

Haha. I agree. Mick's an enigmatic imp, a magic man dressed in ordinary clothes. :)

Moongirl 06-19-2014 06:48 PM

Lmao...he was pretty hot back in the day too, but he let himself go unfortunately...I like u mr. Charlie...let's be friends!

Moongirl 06-19-2014 06:50 PM

What is your favorite stones song from the mick t years??

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 06:58 PM

Consider us friends. :)

Favourite Stones (with Mick Taylor) track has gotta be:

Boring choice, I know, but I adore it. Best rock n roll track ever in my book.

Moongirl 06-19-2014 07:01 PM

On the contrary...not boring at all...I love it too...but I love his solo on winter!! And we can't forget wild horses!!! You know merry Clayton was said to sing so intense in the album version that she had a miscarriage the very next day!! Never know if that's true or not

Moongirl 06-19-2014 07:08 PM

Are you English?? Or do you just talk so elegantly like that...lol

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 07:16 PM

I didn't know that. It's very sad if true. Indeed you've ruined the song for me now. For ever. Haha. Not really. But it is sad, I've heard of people dying for their art but, geez, their babies dying for their art is awful.

Let's cheer ourselves up with one of your faves:

Moongirl 06-19-2014 07:26 PM

No matter how much I hear it I never tire of it!! That man is amazing in my book!! So underrated and forgotten...damn shame!! Thanks for sending...hit the spot..have you heard the version he does with carla Olson...check it out..also great!

And do you like led zeppelin??

I just realized you sent all those awesome stones songs...all the best!! Don't know why but my iPad takes a second before the pic shows?? Anyhow...thanks...I love all those!!!!!!

Gotta love the look of the era too...they all look beyond cool!

Love love love angie too...are you listening to all these..lol

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 07:45 PM

Yeah, the Mick/Carla duet is a sprawling masterpiece:

Love Zepplin, but who doesn't. Went through an obsessive Zeppelin stage some years ago but heavy methadone treatment helped me get clean. ;) But, yeah, still love 'em. It's impossible not to. It's a shame people don't dress like that anymore, some of the looks were crazy and over the top, but it was playful and expressive and often very cool. People look kinda dull today in comparison.

I bet you like the kinks too?

Moongirl 06-19-2014 07:56 PM

Love zeppelin too...but I'm sorry I really have no interest in the kinks

Moongirl 06-19-2014 07:59 PM

Btw...there's a different video for the winter one where they show a ton of clips of mick

Name some stuff you love

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 08:02 PM

Don't like the kinks? Madness. They're not as good as the Stones, Zep, granted, but still... madness.

:tramp:

Moongirl 06-19-2014 08:06 PM

They r pretty good! Do you like any American bands...lol

Do you like blue oyster cult?

Eagles...foo fighters...white stripes???

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 08:25 PM

I do. And Creedence Clearwater Revival. And a whole lotta other stuff too. I like a lotta folk music too but that's not very cool so pretend I didn't mention it.

Moongirl 06-19-2014 08:26 PM

Or old school alternative??

Folk music is actually cool in its own right...you should mention it! Your a real person so do me a favor and don't try to act cool...lol..and I like it too

Have you heard have you seen mary by sponge...great song

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 08:28 PM

Old school alternative? What bands fall under that umbrella?

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 08:30 PM

This?

Moongirl 06-19-2014 08:32 PM

Good folk=Sarah jarosz

Yes that sponge one....that's the one!!!! Love it

Old school alternative=echo and bunny men....better than Ezra...the cure...erasure...etc

Do you like the sponge one??

Mr. Charlie 06-19-2014 08:37 PM

Yup, yup, Sarah Jarosz is wonderful. I first heard her on Transatlantic Sessions. She's a treasure:

Beautiful.

Moongirl 06-19-2014 08:38 PM

Yes very beautiful !!

This kind of music does something to move your soul

The fiddlers...wow!!

U there Charlie??

Aichuk 06-20-2014 03:09 AM

Keith Richards is rather underrated. He did a lot of the lead playing in the early years and his riffs never let me down.

Pink Peony 06-20-2014 07:20 AM

Keef Richards scores very high in my "Most Shaggable" category! That is back in the '70's. Nobody had hair and swagger like that.

Ever seen the video of him wacking his guitar onto a guy who crawled on stage?
Before the days of lawsuits... :p:

Mr. Charlie 06-20-2014 08:22 AM

Haha. No, but I gotta see that.

Edit: Here it is:

Haha. He proper smacked him one.

Moongirl 06-20-2014 06:39 PM

Aichuk, Keith Richards gets credit for everything, even songs that were written by mick jagger and mick taylor were credited to Keith and not mick t!! He wasn't even present for some of the songs, but his name just got added on automatically! And he always gets rated in the top ten when there are polls for best guitarists....so how is he underrated??? I like Keith a lot, but he is not underrated in my opinion!! He gets a lot of attention! He deserves it, but so did mick taylor!!!

Mr. Charlie 06-21-2014 10:27 AM

Moongirl, you should build a life-sized paper mache model of Mick Taylor, paint and dress it in suitable garb, and sit down to dinner with it each night. Imagine it. Express that love in the unhealthiest way!

Moongirl 06-21-2014 09:41 PM

What can I say Charlie, but the obvious...I LOVE mick taylor...any man that can play music like that can sit down at my table any time!!!!!! The 70's version of mick taylor of course...lol!

Necromancer 06-21-2014 10:49 PM

What about Ron Wood?

Good one, huh?!

Moongirl 06-22-2014 10:34 PM

JQ,

What is your fav album or song from that era ?

skeetz 06-30-2014 10:56 PM

Keith Richards rules Mick Taylor drools.

Good guitarist, but seems somewhat of a poser and an attention seeker. He recently appeared on a few celebrity chat show thingies here in the UK and that ain't rock 'n' roll. Same goes for Jagger accepting that knighthood, what the f*ck was was he thinking?

How dare you.

Moongirl 07-01-2014 06:49 PM

You tell em Charlie...I think it's the other way around skeetz!!

I agree.

Moongirl 07-01-2014 09:35 PM

Skeetz, grow up!!

In his dreams! That's why he was so jealous of Micks playing right? It's a known fact that he gave Mick a hard time because Micks playing was so much better. Keith wasn't even there half the time...on some of the best songs! Mick has class!!

neardeathexperience 07-02-2014 02:47 PM

I think Mick Taylor is a better guitarist from a technical standpoint, but he's no Keith Richards from the cool rock star standpoint. In a guitar contest Mick would win......
